Bytown Piano Tuning is lead by piano

technician Ben Borg.

 

Ben holds both a Bachelor's and Master of

Music degree from the University of Ottawa,

in addition to an advanced diploma in

music performance from Cambrian College.

A lifelong musician, Ben is a proud perfectionist and tinkerer. A classical guitarist by trade, he was always bothered by the tuning issues inherent in guitars. As he explored piano tuning, he discovered many new concepts that provided answers for certain issues that made him feel a little crazy over the years.

 

Always eager to locate the source of unwanted noises in guitars, homes, and anything mechanical, he decided that the art of piano maintenance was a logical step forward in his career, helping clients to hear more of the beautiful tone of their pianos, and less of the clickity-clack of the internal components.
